Community Giving

At Whole Foods Market Sherman Oaks, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

Online Donation Form

Donation requests must be made at least 60 days in advance of the date needed, by a verifiable non-profit 501(c)3 organization. A letter with details of the request and contact information on the organization’s official letterhead, accompanied by an official letter of non-profit verification from the IRS is required at the time the request is made. Please submit the above materials to the Marketing Supervisor at the Sherman Oaks East store location. Donations from this location to non-profit groups is limited to organizations located within a reasonable vicinity of the store. Confirmation of a donation will be made within two weeks of receiving the request. The volume of requests received makes it impossible to reply to those we are not able to fulfill. Questions regarding this issue can be addressed by leaving a message at 818.501.8484 ext. 414. Each non-profit organization may submit one request per calendar year.
