Community Giving

At Whole Foods Market , we are active participants in our communities. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month. Donation request must be submitted 6-8 weeks in advance and are reviewed on a first come first serve basis.

We make every effort to participate in sponsorship of local events.  We recognize that there are countless worthwhile organizations and individuals to work with and would love to be involved with all of them, however, that is not possible.

We review all donation requests and support those organizations that most closely align with Whole Foods Market’s core values, these include:

-Environmental Preservation

-Preventative Health Care

-Hunger Relief

-Organic Farming/Sustainable Food Resources

Whole Foods Market Supports Our Community
Whole Foods Market is a company with a conscience, we believe passionately in supporting the communities we serve. A percentage of our sales are used to benefit non-profit organizations on a monthly basis.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these designated days. Our 5% Days are planned far in advance and fall into themed categories, including Farms & Harvest, Environment, Hunger & Homelessness, and Education. If you would like to be considered for a 5% Day, please send information about your organization, along with a completed donation application form, to the Marketing Team Leader in the appropriate store.
