Most importantly, all of our delicious baked goods are made from natural ingredients-no artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, synthetic preservatives or bleached flours. Don’t miss our chocolate case filled with truffles, brittles, and other delectable treats. And check out our hot and cold Dessert Bar for rice pudding, chocolate trifle, hot apple crisp and a variety of tasty delights. Head downstairs behind the escalators to find our sandwich breads and a large selection of Gluten Free and Vegan baked goods.
Cheese
Take a journey through our Specialty Department, where we have an amazing selection of products that are sure to delight your taste buds. We have hundreds of varieties of cheeses from all over the world- local, imported, soft, hard, cow, sheep- all ready to sampled upon request. Walk a few more steps to encounter our olive bar. Here you will find a unique collection of fresh olives and antipasto items ready to be paired with your favorite cheese and wine. Really want to impress someone? Indulge in the towering displays of the finest chocolate, truffles, honey, jam and candies, in addition to first-class gourmet oils-truly a gift for any gourmand!
Beer
Beer lovers, welcomed here. Take a pick, ale or lager. Now discover the hundreds of beers we have to offer- Stout, IPA, Porter, Pilsner, ESB and more. Our experienced beer team members will guide you through the best beers in town. We are proud to have our own growler station. A growler is a half-gallon, glass container used for toting delicious brew from a favorite beer-source. Make your way over and find out What’s on Tap. Choose a beer, ask us for suggestions. Give us your growler if you are refilling. Ask for a new growler if you don’t already have one. Pay for your beer. Take it home and enjoy. Stop by Monday through Thursday during Happy Hour (5-8pm) and get $1 off a 64oz growler! Now that’s what we call a deal.
Prepared Foods
We are passionate about great tasting food and the joy of sharing it with others. Great tasting food is all you will find in our Prepared Foods department. Our Prepared Foods department includes- an amazing full-service carvery station, pizza made on site in our stone hearth oven, salad and soup bars, pre-packed station and our Chef’s case offering take-home salads, entrees and sides by the pound along with sandwiches and Panini’s. All ready to be sampled upon request. Buy more, save more. Whenever you purchase boxed sandwiches, entrée salads, or Panini’s use your club card. Purchase ten, and the next one is on us.
Coffee Bar
Which will it be: coffee or tea? We think quality is the most important, whatever your choice. That’s why we partner with Allegro Coffee Company, experts in the coffee and tea business who have been part of the Whole Foods market family for quite a few years now. As you enter our coffee bar the smell of fresh brewed coffee beans fills the air. Grind your own coffee beans or purchase our extensive selections of coffee, packaged and ready to go. May we suggest our most popular coffee- 365 Everyday Value Breakfast blend that screams both flavor and value. We also offer specialty teas from around the world. Welcome to our Bulk Department! You can’t help but notice the towering clear bins brimming with grains, dried beans, dried fruits, nuts, spices and more- all waiting to be weighted out and taken home- in exactly the quantity you want and need. Experiment with other items or stock up on healthy, unrefined foods like brown rice, quinoa, millet, nuts and seeds. We offer from eighteen types of granola, imported nuts, to sunflower seeds ready to be taken home. Whether you desire freshly ground peanut butter or a handful of yogurt covered pretzels, the Upper West Side bulk department will satisfy all your cravings. Plus, you’ll save money and reduce waste from the minimal packaging that we use. It’s arguably the greenest and most economical place to shop in the store.

It’s always a one-stop shopping experience in our Grocery department! We offer an extensive selection of products, including gourmet olive oils, quality housewares, and environmentally friendly cleaning products. (We also carry a huge selection of alternative-diet items.)
Many of our products are sourced from around the neighborhood, like Feed Granola made in the West Village. We also seek out the best from around the globe, such as Guayaki’s Yerba Mate Energy Drinks from Paraguay. Produce
Whole Foods Market is committed to offering an unparalleled selection of fresh, locally grown organic fruits and vegetables, as well as a plethora of fresh squeezed juices, cut fruit, salsa varieties, bagged lettuces, and ready-to-go crudités platters. If you’re looking for a quick, on-the-go snack, choose from our selection of freshly cut fruit or vegetable medleys!

Meat
Our Meat department sells the highest-quality meat and poultry this city has to offer. We get our meat from trusted vendors, so it’s free of antibiotics and hormones. We also feature a selection of dry-aged steaks, as well as frozen meats, kosher poultry, and a whole line of ready-to-cook items and more! Keeping with our Green Building we have introduced compostable trays to our prepacked meats, so no more styrofoam.
Seafood
No other grocery store or fish market works as hard as we do to help keep farmed raised seafood and the environment healthy. Our trained team members will assist you in catching the best pick, from little neck clams and crawfish cakes from New Jersey, shrimp skewers, and ready to eat Cajun peeled shrimp to cocktail sauce. We also offer the finest frozen seafood for convenience, value and year-round availability of seasonal favorites. Whole Body
If you are in the mood to pamper yourself, visit our second floor for a wide variety of nutritional supplements and vitamins, as well as luxurious, natural body products and cosmetics. Our body-care products have no artificial ingredients or colors and are not tested on animals. They are made with the highest-quality, natural ingredients and are free of harsh chemicals and unnecessary fillers, and they can be easily sampled in complete Beauty Center.
Genji
We have high standards and our goal is to sell the highest quality products we possibly can. That is why we partner with Genji, the highest quality and all-natural sushi and Japanese-inspired cuisine. All of our sushi is prepared daily on-site! Our sushi chefs are extensively trained in the precise art of sushi preparation. Stop by our sushi bar- inari, nigiri, sashimi and uramaki rolls, miso soup and edamame are just a few of the items you will find. Don’t spot your favorite sushi? Our experienced sushi chefs will be happy to make your custom roll in minutes. We also carry sweet chili, soy sauce, and miso teriyaki dipping sauces, great for a new spin on the usual.
