Meet Chef Ed, Woburn’s Culinary Demo Specialist!
“Let’s bring good food to the table!”
You may have seen me sampling and cooking in the store. Whole Foods Market Team Members call me Chef Ed; please introduce yourself when you see me! I’ve been with Whole Foods Market for two years and it is my passion to introduce our customers to the vast flavors in our store.
I have broad experience in the culinary world. A cooking enthusiast from the start, I began a second career by earning a degree from the Culinary Institute of America. I’ve worked extensively in the Boston-area restaurant business- at Maison Robert, Tremont 647, and the Tuscan Grill, as well as brief stints at Clio, Charlie Trotters Chicago, and Bradley Ogden’s Las Vegas. I’ve also catered and taught cooking locally.
Always a seeker of high quality and variety in foods, I was prompted to begin a career Whole Foods Market, starting in Prepared Foods at the Bedford store, then moving to Demo Specialist here in Woburn, where I work to show other food lovers how they can use new, delicious, and healthy products in their own home.
Ask me about my cookbooks! They are: The American Lighthouse Cookbook (2009) and The Complete Idiot’s Guide to 200 – 300 – 400 Calories Meals, which will be published this summer.
Though I was trained in classic French culinary technique, I like comfortable food that’s simply and deliciously prepared and brings out fresh, local, and sometimes exotic flavors. Cooking doesn’t have to be difficult. If you’re wondering how you can use any of our many fine, tasty products, just ask me! I want to bring good food to your table!
