At Four Hills Farm, Jim Mansfield produces lean, tender and flavorful lamb with no antibiotics and no added hormones. It was the first sheep farm in the U.S. to earn a Global Animal Partnership animal welfare certification at step 4.

Robert and Lara Swan wanted to veer away from the trends of fast food and make something they actually wanted to eat. Now, they make daily handcrafted bagels with artisanal flour. They even compost to reduce kitchen waste — helping to grow community gardens in Lexington, Kentucky.

Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese has been making authentic, artisanal cheeses since 1998. Kenny oversees the dairy operations and maintains the creamery and aging caves himself — an approach that allows him to run his cheese and dairy operations side by side. Every cheese is handcrafted and made with fresh milk.
