Together with her team, she crafts cheese by hand — inspired by traditional Dutch Gouda-making methods of her homeland, the Netherlands. Marieke is passionate about transforming farmstead-fresh, raw cow’s milk from the family farm into award-winning cheese — and you can taste it.

American Provenance, located in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin, was founded by Kyle LaFound. Kyle and his small team of dedicated employees handcraft all of their personal care products — from mixing to pouring to capping to labeling. They take great care to pick out only high-quality ingredients for their products.

Just Coffee Cooperative is a worker-owned coffee roaster that doesn’t stop at roasting coffee. They make yearly visits to meet with their farmers, have collaborations with nonprofit organizations, like On the Ground, and strive to build long-term relationships with small-scale coffee growers. The result of all of this hard work is in their incredibly bright, balanced coffees.

Purple Door Ice Cream, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, believes that staying local and supporting their community is essential for their small business — which is why they’re committed to using a variety of local ingredients. Matt and Clare Stoner Fehsenfeld founded Madison, Wisconsin – based Quince & Apple in 2009. They make preserves and syrups that bring together unique flavors, often balancing between sweet and savory. Each of their small-batch, handmade preserves is ideal for complementing artisan cheeses, and their syrups are perfect for pairing with craft spirits.

Tucked away on over 80 acres of forests and valleys in Palmyra, Wisconsin, Rushing Waters smokes delicious fish in their on-site smokehouse. Their 56 ponds are fed with artesian spring water at a temperature so cold, it’s ideal for producing rainbow trout all year long. Each fish they smoke is prepared in a brine of salt, sugar, spices and finished with the savory smoke of northern hardwoods — and is Responsibly Farmed.
