Fresh Cranberry Syrup
Makes a generous 1/2 cup

This syrup will last up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Leftovers are delicious served over Greek yogurt or ice cream.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup fresh or thawed frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
Method
Combine cranberries, sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small, heavy saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.
Lower heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 to 25 minutes or until cranberries are completely broken down.
Remove from heat and cool.
Syrup will keep in a airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
