Honeyed Peach Wheat Beer
Serves 1
Time 5 min
In France, a demi-pêche typically combines French beer with a shot of peach syrup. Here, peach purée made from fresh (or frozen) peaches and fragrant honey lends a wonderful fruity perfume to hearty wheat beer (beer made with a higher percentage of malt). When peaches aren’t in season, there are countless flavor variations for this drink, including Pomegranate Molasses, Honeyed Blackberry Syrup or Cherry Syrup.
Special Diets:
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons Honeyed Peach Syrup, chilled
- 1 (12.0-ounce) bottle wheat beer, such as German Franziskaner Weissbier, chilled
Method
Spoon syrup into a tall beer glass.
Tilt the glass at a 45 degree angle (to reduce excess head) and pour in beer.
Using a long spoon, stir until blended.
Much of the syrup will settle on the bottom of the glass while you drink; consider it dessert or stir a few times between sips.
