Matcha Tonic

Healthful and boldly colorful, this green tea-based tonic is refreshing any time of day. Watch our video on matcha.

Ingredients
- 5 fresh basil or mint leaves, plus more for garnish
- 5 slices English cucumber, divided
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- Ice cubes, for serving
- 3/4 cup chilled tonic water
Method
In the bottom of a tall glass, muddle basil leaves, 2 of the cucumber slices and matcha powder until mixture is juicy and cucumber is broken into very small pieces.
Fill the glass with ice and remaining 3 cucumber slices.
Pour in tonic water and stir vigorously.
Garnish with a few basil leaves and serve.
