Party-Time Pimento Cheese

Pimento cheese is a Southern staple, and it's easier to make than you might think. Serve it with crackers as part of an appetizer tray, or alongside hot biscuits for breakfast.

Ingredients

    1 poundsharp cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 smallred onion, chopped
    8 ouncespimentos or roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
    1 bunchgreen onions, chopped
    3 clovesgarlic, minced
    1 cupmayonnaise
    Ground white pepper, to taste

Method

In a large bowl, combine cheese, red onion and pimentos. 


In a smaller bowl, mix green onions and garlic with mayonnaise, then add to cheese mixture and blend thoroughly. 


Add white pepper and stir well to combine thoroughly. 


Chill a few hours before serving.
