Acai Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients

    1 package (100-gram)Sambazon Organic Açaí Superfruit Pack
    1 cupfrozen blueberries
    1 mediumripe banana, peeled, sliced and frozen
    1/4 cupsteamed, drained and frozen curly leaf kale (see note below)
    1 cup365 by Whole Foods Market Original Oatmilk
    1/2 teaspoonground cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoonalmond extract
    1 scoop365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Unflavored Pea Protein Powder

Method

Slightly thaw açaí pack under warm water for 1 minute before opening.


Combine with remaining ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until creamy and smooth.


Pour into two tall glasses to serve.


To steam kale: Bring ½ inch water to a boil in a large pot with a steamer insert. Remove tough stems from kale and place in steamer, then cover and steam for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, place a medium bowl of ice water in the sink. Transfer kale to ice water to stop the cooking and help preserve the color. Squeeze excess water from kale and press into a ¼-cup measuring cup. Unmold onto a parchment-lined tray and repeat with the rest of the kale. Freeze for 6 hours and then transfer to a resealable container to store for future use.
