Acai Blueberry Smoothie

There’s a lot to love about this purple elixir of deliciousness. In addition to tasting amazing, açaí is packed with antioxidants, omega-3, -6 and -9, plus it’s got kale, so you can tell your mom you’re drinking your veggies today.

Ingredients
- 1 (100.0-gram) package Sambazon Organic Açaí Superfruit Pack
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 medium ripe banana, peeled, sliced and frozen
- 1/4 cup steamed, drained and frozen curly leaf kale (see note below)
- 1 cup 365 by Whole Foods Market Original Oatmilk
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 scoop 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Unflavored Pea Protein Powder
Method
Slightly thaw açaí pack under warm water for 1 minute before opening.
Combine with remaining ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until creamy and smooth.
Pour into two tall glasses to serve.
To steam kale: Bring ½ inch water to a boil in a large pot with a steamer insert. Remove tough stems from kale and place in steamer, then cover and steam for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, place a medium bowl of ice water in the sink. Transfer kale to ice water to stop the cooking and help preserve the color. Squeeze excess water from kale and press into a ¼-cup measuring cup. Unmold onto a parchment-lined tray and repeat with the rest of the kale. Freeze for 6 hours and then transfer to a resealable container to store for future use.
