Apple-Wine Cocktail
Serves 1
Time 5 min
Crisp and elegant, this easy cocktail gets its flavor from dry white wine, apple cider and fresh herbs.
Special Diets:
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dry white wine, such as Grüner Veltliner or Sauvignon Blanc
- 1 tablespoon apple cider, preferably spiced or mulled
- 1 sprig fresh thyme or rosemary, plus more for garnish
- 1/2 Honeycrisp apple, very thinly sliced, divided
- Ice cubes as needed
Method
Combine wine, cider, thyme and half of the apple slices in a cocktail shaker.
Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
Arrange remaining apple slices in a coupe or rocks glass as you would ice cubes and then strain wine mixture into the glass.
Top with a small sprig of thyme and serve immediately, eating wine-soaked apples in the glass as you sip.
