Ciabatta B.L.A.T. (Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado and Tomato)
Serves 4
Time 5 min
Crusty, slightly sour ciabatta makes a fine base for a classic sandwich. Here, we also add avocado, as its creamy texture pairs beautifully with crisp, salty bacon.
Special Diets:
Ingredients
- 1 loaf organic ciabatta, split horizontally
- 12 slices crisp cooked bacon
- 2 large romaine lettuce leaves, thinly sliced
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 1/2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- Ground black pepper
Method
Layer bottom half of ciabatta with bacon, romaine, tomato and avocado.
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with pepper.
Cover with top piece of bread and cut into 4 sandwiches.
