Makes 2 dozen
Time 40 min
Easy yet elegant mini tarts make an ideal pass-around dessert for a holiday party.
Special Diets:
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup 365 Everyday Value® Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce
- 1/4 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger
- 2 ripe but firm pears, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 (16.0-ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed but still cold
Method
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
In a bowl, stir together cranberry sauce, ginger and pears.
On a piece of wax paper or parchment paper, cut puff pastry into 24 squares or rectangles, trimming the edges as needed, and transfer to 2 large, parchment-paper-lined baking sheets.
Prick puff pastry all over with a fork.
Working quickly to keep pastry cold, spoon about 1 tablespoon of the pear mixture onto each square and spread out to the edges.
Bake, rotating the baking sheets halfway through, until pastry is puffed and golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
Let cool until warm or at room temperature before serving.
