This easy dish makes a wonderful appetizer for company. Have your fishmonger crack the crab legs (or do it yourself with a heavy knife) so they absorb more of the seasoning as they heat and so that the meat is easier to remove from the shell. For a fun variation, add crushed tomatoes and Old Bay seasoning to the oil mixture.
Special Diets:
Method
In a large skillet, heat oil, garlic and chile flakes over medium heat, swirling the pan, until garlic is soft and golden, about 4 minutes.
Remove from the heat and pour off all but about 1 tablespoon of the mixture into a small bowl.
Return the skillet to medium-high heat; add crab legs and cook, tossing, until heated through, about 5 minutes.
Serve with oil on the side for dipping.
