Lavender Grilled Fruits Over Ice Cream

Lavender adds a fragrant touch to this tempting union of stone fruits, blackberries and sweet ice cream. A decidedly unique summer treat.

Ingredients
- 6 apricots, halved and pitted
- 3 nectarines, halved and pitted
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped lavender, plus 6 small sprigs for garnish
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 cup wildflower honey
- 1 pint raspberries or blackberries
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
Method
Arrange apricots and nectarines on a baking sheet or platter, sprinkle all over with chopped lavender, lemon juice and lemon zest, then drizzle with honey.
Prepare a grill for medium heat cooking.
Arrange fruit on grill and cook, turning once, until grill marks form and the fruit is softened, but still firm, about 4 to 6 minutes on each side.
Transfer fruit to serving bowls and top with blackberries, ice cream and lavender sprigs.
