Old-Fashioned Sloppy Joes

This easy recipe, with the familiar flavors of Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and brown sugar, is sure to become a family favorite. Serve with a large green salad and plenty of napkins!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound 85% lean ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
- 6 hamburger buns, toasted
Method
Brown the beef in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, 5 to 7 minutes.
Add onions and season with salt and pepper.
Cook until onions soften, about 7 minutes. Add ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and mustard. Stir to combine.
Simmer until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes. Spoon over split toasted hamburger buns.
