Serves 2
Time 25 min
These spiced, red-wine-infused strawberries can be made ahead of time, or served immediately if you prefer your strawberries firmer. Consider serving with elegant ladyfinger cookies or shortbread.
Special Diets:
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup dry red wine
- 3 tablespoons sugar, divided
- 4 whole star anise
- 3 wide strips orange peel (removed with a vegetable peeler)

To serve, stir remaining 1 tablespoon sugar into fromage blanc and spoon over berries.
