Method
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Cut across the top of each head of garlic, exposing the top of the cloves; discard.
Place garlic in a small baking dish, cut side up.
Drizzle evenly with oil and sprinkle evenly with salt.
Cover dish with foil and roast until garlic is soft and golden, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
