Ingredients

1 poundGala or Fuji apples (3 or 4), peeled and chopped
    1/2 poundstrawberries, halved

Exclusively for Prime members in select ZIP codes.

Method

Combine apples and 1/4 cup water in a large saucepan.

Cover and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 20 minutes. (If apples begin to dry out while cooking, add more water, 1 to 2 tablespoons at a time, to keep them moist.)

Stir in strawberries, cover and cook until they are very tender, about 5 minutes more.

Carefully transfer apple mixture to a food processor and purée until smooth. Alternatively, mash with a fork or a potato masher.

The applesauce will keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

(Suggested age: 8 months and up)
