Strawberry Milk Shakes with Caramel Swirl

Savor juicy strawberries in a nostalgic milk shake with a sophisticated layer of caramel. If you prefer, use chocolate sauce in place of the caramel.

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound strawberries, hulled and halved
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup low-fat (1%) milk
- 2 tablespoons prepared caramel sauce
Method
Put strawberries, ice cream and milk into a blender and purée until smooth.
In 2 serving glasses, alternate layers of milk shake with layers of caramel or drizzle caramel into the glasses while pouring the milk shake.
Caramel will freeze up slightly as it combines with the cold strawberry milk shake to create the swirled effect.
