Watermelon Purée

The entire family will enjoy this refreshing summer treat. Feed your baby the watermelon pulp while you sip the leftover juice.

Ingredients
- 4 cups seedless watermelon chunks (about 1 1/4 pounds)
Method
Put watermelon in a blender and mash with a wooden spoon to release some of the juice.
Puree until smooth. (You will have about 2 1/2 cups.)
Pour watermelon puree through a fine-mesh strainer set over a large bowl.
Let drain, without stirring, until you have about 1 cup juicy pulp in the strainer.
Save watermelon juice for a parent’s treat and serve watermelon pulp to your little one.
The puree will keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
