New King Ranch Casserole opens in a new tab
At my house, getting dinner on the table pronto is of highest importance. Once my kids walk in the door, they are clamoring for food, so any day I can have dinner cooked and served before they fill up on snacks is a huge win.
Even if you don’t have children, chances are standing in front of the stove at the end of the day is not something you’re looking forward to. I make the most of my freezer to help with times like those, and you can too. From basic staples like sauces and beans to comforting soups and casseroles, cooking large batches of food ahead of time will save your sanity.
You can dedicate a whole day to cooking up multiple recipes, or just double each of these recipes the night you make it, and stash the second batch in the freezer. Doubling a recipe only takes a little extra prep time overall, but the results are so worth it!
Try some of these great freezer-worthy recipes. I’ve even included breakfast for your busy mornings.
